Is It Possible To Miss Court On Bail?
https://ift.tt/2AzXLiT

It happens to the best of us: something comes up last minute and changes the plans that we thought were set in stone. But what happens if this last minute task falls on the same day that you are expected to be in court? If you have been released from jail on a bail bond, you risk a lot more than your freedom by missing your appointed trial date. You’re giving up the money or collateral you’ve put towards your bond. But anything can happen and your rights need to be protected in such an event. This is why there are very set rules and cases where you may be able to miss a hearing without risking an additional failure to appear charge. In all cases, be sure to inform the courts and your attorney if you believe that you will not be able to make a future court date. Never assume that it will be okay to skip the date. Here are some of the acceptable reasons you may need to miss your hearing:
-Unforeseeable Events Like Emergencies
-Lawyer Withdrawal Without Notice
-No Notification of Hearing
